Jaden's POV

　

"Jaden! ...Where... have... ya been?" He struggled to say in his adorable southern accent, taking in large breaths of air between each word.

I turned around to face him. He was sweating like mad with the look of deep concern imprinted onto his face. "I was walking around the school." I said as monotone as possible trying to hide emotion."Why do you look so upsat Jess?"'

"Well for one," He began to say, placing his gentle hand on my shoulder, I could feel my face quickly turning red."You ran out in the middle of class for no appaerent reason."

I turned away in hopes that if his emerald green eyes couldn't see my face he wouldn't be able to read me. "I do that all the time." I tryed shrugging it off as I do with things often. "it's not like I was listning anyway." I turned back forcing a smile hoping that maybe he'll buy it. Unfortuanatly Jesse has always been able to tell what i'm feeling without even looking at me.

"That's a fake smile Jay," He was quick to figure out. "Don't think I don't know. Why would you lie to me Jaden? What happened?"

Although he was the only one I ever really had these kind of deep conversations with, and I usally felt safe in confessing my problems to him, I couldn't this time. Not when the problem was him. I started blushing harder at the thought.

"You okay Jaden? he asked placing the back of his hand against my forhead. "Your not sick are you? Is that why you ran out of class?"

"No!" I snapped back a little too loud "I just-" my voice started calming down. "I just wanted to get away... from you."

Jesse's eyes widned, clearly in shock. "But Jay-" I threw his arm off me and ran away, not giving him a chance to finish his sentence.
